Growing up, I have always had at least one pet in my life. Dogs and goldfish to be specific.I'd love to have a cat, but my mother is allergic to cats so we just have a bunch of dogs. In my life, I have had five dogs. Not sure how many goldfish. They don't live very long and we never gave them names because they all looked the same. Although, I can remember all the dogs I have had. The first being a dog named Koda. Named after the small bear from Brother Bear. I don't remember much of that dog, it ran away before I was old enough to remember. But the next dog we got I still have to this day. Her name is Isis (Iceis). Named after the Egyptian goddess. She is a black and white pitbull and I love her so much. She just turned 11 last July.
The next dog we didn't get until just 5 years ago. Ella is a pomeranian chihuahua that we kind of adopted. See, Ella was my great grandmother's dog and when we moved in with her, we became the ones to care for her. My grandfather adopted her for Yaya so she would be lonely. But then we moved in and she just became ours.
The newest addition to our family is a mutt puppy we adopted from the pound. My mom got her for my brother as a birthday present. Like Isis, she is black and white. Her name is Echo and she is the cutest thing in the world. She loves socks a cuddling. She's so cute.
With all of these dogs, things can be a bit hectic. And to add to all the craziness, I want a bird. But it takes time for them to get used to new houses and family. And with school, I don't really have time for that. I would need to be around it as much as possible and when I'm gone for 7 hours of the day, that can be a bit hard. I'm hoping to be able to get one this summer, but without a job, it'll be hard to get one and care for it. I guess I can dream though.
