Art Supplies

As an artist, there are several different types of tools I use. Yes some of them can be expensive, but there are some cheaper alternatives. For example, I use Finecolour, TouchFive, and Prismacolor as alternatives to Copic alcohol based markers. There is a difference, but for beginning artists or artists with little money (like myself) they work fine. So here are some of the things I use in most of my drawings.

If you couldn't tell, I use alcohol based markers. They can make traditional art look almost digital. Except for when the fine line decides it wants to bleed and ruin your freaking drawing. But it's just the type of fine lines I'm using. I know Copic makes fine liners and I'm sure there are other types of alcohol-based fine liners that won't make your pictures, that you spend hours on, bleed.

There are other things that I use as well as markers. Gellpens, colored pencils, and washi tape are some other things that I use in drawings. They give a pop of color when you need it. Washi tape can also fill an empty space that doesn't seem to fit.

I'm not necessarily hoping for a big part, I honestly could care less what part I get; I just want a part. It seems like fun. This Tuesday and Wednesday are try-outs. On Tuesday, we have to sing a song from a musical. On Wednesday, they teach us the choreography. I'm more worried about the singing part. You see, I wouldn't really say I'm the best singer, but I still want to try. I'm going to sing "Lifeboat" from the Heathers. It's simple, it's short. Now, you may be wondering, "Eli, what musical are you doing?" The Addams Family. Yes, there is a musical of t...
